Its theme is the ‘Revelation of God’s plan for man’s redemption.’ The central section, dominated by a large crimson shape, represents the Holy
Trinity. New has also suggested that it represents the closed eyes of God
withdrawn within the Tabernacle. The shape on the right of the center piece,
with a largely green background, represents the nativity of Christ; the
equivalent shape on the left with a blue background represents the baptism of
Christ in the Jordan by John the Baptist. Together, they represent the open
eyes of God signifying the revealed will of God in the incarnation of Christ,
or “the word made flesh,” (John 1).
