In the centre of the sanctuary,
at the very heart of the church,
is the altar. It rises up from the
well of the church on a circular
stepped plinth, on a level height
with the entrance.
The altar rests on four concrete
steps, and has been described
as ‘primitive’ in appearance.  It was designed by Scorer the Church’s architect, along with the Pulpit and Font to be an integral part of the Church’s design
